Compassionate euthanasia has been a passion of owner Susan Rodgers since she started practicing. She has always worked with her clients to make the hardest day of pet ownership a peaceful and calm one. After living in the Dade City area for a few years she started to realize that many of her friends and clients were prevented from at-home euthanasia because of where they live.
Susan grew up in South Florida with a house full of dogs from Foxy the Pembroke Welsh Corgi who introduced her to agility courses after education in obedience, and Dillion the Pembroke Welsh Corgi who took her to the conformation ring.
Susan went to school at Stetson University, the University of Florida, and Mississippi State. Graduating from the Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After graduating, she spent about a year in Mississippi before coming back home to the sunshine state in Lakeland. Susan shares her home with her husband Jessie, and several dogs ranging from Lelawala the Boston Terrier to Turtle the Ibizan Hound. She also shares her home with 3 cats and 6 chickens. In her free time, she enjoys showing her homebred Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers in the conformation rings and training the pack in nose work, dock diving, and agility. Together, she and her husband Jessie spend most weekends at one of Florida's beautiful springs in kayaks or a hockey arena cheering on the Lightening or her husband's hockey team.
